In 1997, DenizBank was acquired by the Zorlu Holding in the form of a banking license from the Privatization Administration. Undergoing three shareholder changes and done public offering in its short history, the Bank was acquired in October 2006 by Dexia, one of the leading financial groups of Europe. Later on, being subject to the biggest one-time investment made by Russia in Turkey, DenizBank started to serve under the umbrella of Sberbank, one of the biggest banks in the world, as of September 28, 2012. Finally, the Bank’s shares were transferred to Emirates NBD as of August 2019, again one of the leading institutions in its region.
Tasks
- Acquire commodity trader customers in Europe and MENA, identifying financing opportunities in line with department targets
- Contribute to departmental asset size and profitability, aligning with the budget and targets
- Analyze creditworthiness, support credit package preparation, and structure credit limits according to risk appetite, pricing, and policies
- Engage proficiently with customers on CTF transactions, demonstrating a comprehensive understanding of commodity trade finance with a focus on risk perspectives
- Vigilantly monitor customers' financial standing, identify early warning signals, and take necessary actions as per internal policies
- Initiate risk assessment and continuous monitoring, ensuring transactional acceptability and quality.
- Maintain well-organized credit files/customer accounts in line with the bank’s policies
- Establish clear communication channels among customers, account managers, and support units for efficient process follow-up
- Stay up-to-date on market developments, regulatory updates, sectorial risks, and commodity prices
Profile / Your qualification / Your personality
- University degree or equivalent education level
- Minimum 5 years (preferably 10 years for senior positions) working experience in structured trade and commodity finance
- Good understanding of financial and economic overview
- Strong communication and social skills
- Results-oriented with self-motivation and the ability to motivate others
- Willingness to take responsibility and initiative
- Active planning and coordination of customer relationships with client meetings
- Analytical and risk management skills, including financial analysis and transaction structuring
- Excellent presentation and communication skills in English; additional languages (especially German, Russian, Turkish, or French) are an advantage
- Proficient in MS Office applications
