Risk Officer (m|f|x) Frankfurt

As a leading bank from Taiwan in international banking, First Commercial Bank, Ltd. has a presence in more than 11 countries with more than 30 overseas branches across the world. To expand our global banking services, our Frankfurt Branch in Germany has started into operation since 2023. To establish a sound framework of risk management we are looking for a qualified Risk Officer for Risk Management Department.

Tasks

Support Deputy Manager (“DM4”) of Risk Department in relation to Branch’s Risk Management function with following main tasks:

• Identify, measure, manage and monitor risks, including credit, market, liquidity operational and ESG risks, in accordance with the requirements of MaRisk.
• Update risk inventory and risk appetite statement
• Perform calculations of risk bearing capacity under normative and economic perspectives and prepare the RTF reports
• Develop the stress scenarios and conduct regular stress tests (including mandatory LSI stress test)
• Perform back testing or validation for ICAAP and the models in use
• Support and report to Deputy Manager for overall risk controls in accordance with the Branch’s Risk Management Policy & Procedure and Risk Strategy
• Enhance the Branch’s liquidity management to ensure compliance with all regulatory capital and liquidity requirements, including LCR and NSFR
• Prepare the quarterly IRRBB reports with the software “THINC” developed by MSG AG
• Ensure that the Branch’s credit criteria and relevant decision rules are complied with
• Identify risks or weaknesses in relation to the Branch’s risk management framework and communicate concerns and propose remediation actions to the management
• Prepare data and information for the Pillar III Disclosure, including the ESG risk disclosure
• Prepare the agenda of the Risk Management Committee Meeting and meeting minutes
• Review and update the relevant Polices & Procedures and corporate documents
• Keep abreast of the latest regulatory requirements in relation to risk management

Profile / Your qualification / Your personality

• University or equivalent degree in the banking or financial related field;
• At least 2 years of banking experience in risk management;
• Sufficient experience of calculations and analysis of risk bearing capacity. Experience for
• preparing the RTF report is a plus;
• A team player with strong communication skills;
• Knowledge of the regulatory requirements for risk management is required;
• Hold long-term German working permit;
• Can work in a third country branch with colleagues with diverse background in mother tongue and culture;
• Fluent in German and English.
