Tasks
ROLE SUMMARY
The APAC Distribution team in Australia has an opening for a Relationship Management Analyst (“RMA”) in the financial institutional channel, to support our sales and market efforts.
Working closely with the institutional Relationship Managers, this position is responsible for pursuing and maintaining relationships with institutional clients and prospects in Australia & New Zealand.
- Monitor satisfaction, accurate and swift responses to client requests, efficient problem resolution, contract and operational compliance, and risk mitigation
- Conduct research for relationship managers in preparation of client engagement opportunities
- In cooperation with portfolio specialists, the associate will help develop strategy presentations to new and existing clients
- The RMA will conduct strategic research and market intelligence in support of the business plan for the institutional team
- Assists with the creation, monitoring, and revision of lead generation plans for the development of new revenue pipelines
- Build industry experience and proactively research trends, competitor services/offerings, and clients' business environments
RESPONSIBILITIES
Client Service Support
Handle requests from clients including preparing customized deliverables to address specific questions. This may include preparation of presentations, meeting or conference call set-up, follow-up from client and prospect meetings, collation of performance information etc. This includes direct interaction with both internal shared services resources as well as external communication with clients and prospects.
Client & Prospect Responsibility
Works with marketing and shared services teams to draft materials for requests for proposal, client pitches, etc. Keeps abreast of client relationship activity occurring throughout the firm to support responses to inquiries. Liaises remotely with relevant business contacts (internally and externally) to coordinate service to the client. Escalates relevant issues to senior team members or management.
Generate new leads through client and market research. Initiate and develop relationships with assigned clients and business prospects to obtain meetings and prepare presentations on products and services. Grow knowledge of assigned clients, their sensitivities, and business needs that impact decision-making.
Research
Conducts and develops market and product research in support of the Australian & NZ planning process.
- Independently conducts market and industry research aligned with applicable regulatory requirements, industry trends, and competitor services/offerings and synthesizes data.
- Conducts research to support the development of client specific sales strategies and material generation.
- Analyzes the effectiveness of current initiatives.
- Completes assigned action plan implementation tasks and may assign implementation activities to less experienced professionals.
- Performs a range of analyses of data, trends, plan changes, and strategies to keep up to date with sales/relationship performance.
Account Take On
Provides support to various aspects of the sales and account take on process as directed by senior client facing professionals. Serves as liaison with shared services to resolve any issues, clarify client requirements and to provide quality control throughout the process. Uses their knowledge of the business to provide proactive recommendations for process improvement, and changes.
Event planning coordination and management
Working with the relationship managers team, marketing, and TRP shared services, the RMA will be involved in the coordination of the research, planning and execution of brand-building activities in connection with industry conferences, TRP institutional road shows and other similar events.

Profile / Your qualification / Your personality
QUALIFICATIONS
The successful candidate will have a passion for learning about the global capital markets. In-depth knowledge of equity, fixed income, and/or multi-asset investment products is strongly preferred. Interest in the business of investment management, a desire to work in a team-based and collaborative environment, and an analytical/problem-solving orientation are required.
Other required qualifications include:
- 10+ years of total relevant work experience in analytical roles within the investment industry which can include relationship management/business development/client service.
- Direct buy-side experience supporting institutional/distribution client relationships preferred
- Strong academic credentials including a Bachelor's degree. CFA highly preferred
- Ability to work independently, in a fast-paced and team-oriented environment, using judgment to determine priorities and meeting deadlines that need to be met under significant time pressure.
