The Investment Manager is part of a team of over 10 investment professionals who manage advisory agreements across BNP Paribas sites and markets. The role involves close collaboration with other Investment Managers and front teams. The IM team belongs to the larger Investment Services department, which includes discretionary portfolio managers, product specialists, and wealth planners, notably. IMs benefit from the extensive network of authorized products and services managed by product specialists within the same department

Tasks

  • Provide investment advice to select clients of BNP Paribas Switzerland / Wealth Management under advisory agreements, focusing primarily on clients residing in Switzerland or Italy. Communication with clients will be conducted in English, Italian, or German, with proficiency in French and Swiss German considered advantageous
  • Maintain comprehensive knowledge of the Bank's investment strategies, product suitability, and adherence to values, processes, and procedures, particularly those related to advisory clients and investment products. Regularly update his / her expertise in these areas
  • Develop deep familiarity with clients within his / her client portfolio, including understanding their investment goals, constraints, personal investment rules, and risk tolerance, along with their investment portfolios encompassing financial instruments, risks, and opportunities
  • Engage with clients regularly to analyze their investment portfolios, provide support and explanations, and proactively offer investment ideas in alignment with the Bank's recommendations and portfolio characteristics, including suitability and risk considerations. Conduct portfolio reviews regularly. Solicit client feedback
  • Execute client-directed investment orders promptly, resolving any market-related trade issues efficiently
  • Assist Relationship Managers (RMs) in acquiring new clients by offering capital market expertise and investment proposals
  • Actively promote investment-related services to eligible advisory clients, including discretionary portfolio mandates, sustainable advisory options, Lombard credit offerings, and digital advisory tools, as applicable
  • Operate both autonomously and collaboratively with colleagues and the Bank's departments, such as RMs, other Investment Managers (IMs), product specialists, and support functions, to ensure client satisfaction with advisory services. Focus on client engagement intensity and portfolio performance while meeting objectives (KPIs), emphasizing revenue generation, client book growth, and alignment with the Bank's processes and values

Profile / Your qualification / Your personality

  • An Investment Manager bridges the gap between financial markets/investment products and Wealth Management clients/front teams. Potential career paths include roles as a product specialist or relationship manager, or similar positions within other business lines of the Bank
  • Experience Level: Minimum of 10 years
