The Regulatory Risk team is responsible for regulatory change and horizon scanning, individual and entity licensing, personal compliance, regulatory and local entity reporting. The Regulatory Assurance team provide assurance to senior management that controls are designed to mitigate their compliance risks and operating effectively, through thematic, entity and desk assurance reviews.

In our Risk Management Group, you will be part of an independent, and centralised function, responsible for independent and objective review and challenge, oversight, monitoring and reporting in relation to Macquarie’s material risks. Our divisions include Compliance, Credit, Financial Crime Risk, Internal Audit, Market Risk, Operational Risk, Prudential Risk, and Risk Management Group Central.

Tasks

You will manage all regulatory assurance reviews, including planning, scoping, reviewing, testing, documenting and reporting. 

You will communicate results of reviews to the business and undertake ongoing stakeholder management.  As a senior member of the team, you will assist in determining the plan of assurance reviews each year and manage reporting and oversight of escalations. management.

Profile / Your qualification / Your personality

  • A well-developed risk management mindset
  • Strong compliance/ risk experience in a similar organisation and at Senior Management level. 
  • Good problem-solving skills and a strong achievement drive. 
  • Excellent communication skills as you will have daily interaction with stakeholders at all levels across all Macquarie’s businesses,
  • The ability to engage, advise and influence others are key attributes for this role, while strong knowledge of UK and European regulation is desirable. 
  • You will also have strong people-management skills.
