As the Head of Capital Markets Sales, you will play a pivotal role in supervising and managing our organization’s capital markets FICC sales activities, covering the hedging, investment, and funding requirements of our corporate and institutional clients across the group. In addition, you will oversee the groupwide activities for the FX business with retail customers. Collaborating closely with our team, you will be responsible for driving sales revenues and managing related product costs, while also setting ambitious business goals.

Tasks

  • Foster capital markets business across corporate, institutional, and retail segments, with group-wide responsibility for sales revenues and product costs.
  • Identify, co-develop, and implement innovative products and services considering our clients’ evolving needs and digitization trends.
  • Cultivate client relationships through regular contacts, visits, and discussions on strategic topics and cooperation.
  • Define and implement sales initiatives with a structured approach on a group-wide level.
  • Set performance targets, objectives, and KPIs for sales leaders, continuously monitoring their performance.
  • Optimize or develop relevant sales channels and digital platforms for capital markets products.
  • Develop the group-wide capital markets sales community further, integrating stakeholders from business, risk management, and Ops/IT, while enhancing product distribution through collaboration with relationship managers throughout RBI Group.
  • As a role model for the RBI culture, you will demonstrate leadership and people management skills that align with our RBI values.
  • You will report to the Head of Group Capital Markets.

Profile / Your qualification / Your personality

  • Relevant education for the above-mentioned areas or appropriate experience in a related field.
  • Extensive knowledge and understanding of financial markets, capital markets products and assets classes in scope with cross-sectional view on all risk types and principles (market-, credit-, operational risk).
  • Proven track record in leading large international sales teams with the ability to inspire others.
  • Seasoned leader with a collaborative working style, focused on developing people and building teams. Genuine drive for the people agenda grounded in honest interest.
  • Ability to inspire to create and manage a high-performing team.
  • Profound knowledge of regulatory and compliance environment including regulatory changes for business in scope (e.g. MiFID II, MiFIR).
  • Proficient sales skills including the ability to develop effective client relationships.
  • Analytical skills to identify market opportunities and trends.
  • Familiarity with various corporate industries and institutional clients’ segments, including their capital markets instrument needs.
  • Willingness to travel across the relevant region to visit customers & stakeholders.
  • Previous exposure to the CEE markets and fluency in German will be considered an advantage.
