We are looking to appoint a Divisional Director to our Wealth Management Services division. In this role you will be responsible for overseeing the commercial and overall relationships with a number of regional independent contracting branch practices. You will play a pivotal role in managing commercial relationships and ensuring compliance with regulatory standards. You will collaborate with various stakeholders to drive the growth and development of RJIS branches, ensuring they deliver outstanding service to clients.
Tasks
- Strategic Development: Contribute to the firm's strategic vision by developing and implementing tactics to achieve business growth.
- Relationship Management: Oversee relationships with RJIS branches, ensuring effective wealth manager and AUM retention.
- Partnerships: Collaborate with Supervision T&C Managers, Practice Support, and Finance to ensure branches operate within risk appetite and achieve commercial goals.
- Growth Initiatives: Identify and implement growth opportunities for RJIS branches and the division.
- Governance: Support the governance of branch relationships, ensuring compliance with conduct and risk frameworks.
- Escalation Point: Resolve strategic issues or concerns impacting client delivery.
- Talent Development: Support the selection, training, and development of new Wealth Managers.
- Client Service: Ensure branches have the tools and resources to deliver excellent client service.
- Market Research: Conduct market research to understand customer needs, industry trends, and competitive landscape.
- Practice Intelligence: Deliver initiatives to support branch growth and development.
- Succession Planning: Manage retirement, succession, and acquisition opportunities within branches.
- Regulatory Compliance: Ensure branches adhere to regulatory requirements and internal policies.
- Business Development: Collaborate on business plans for branches and recruit new Wealth Managers.
- Data Analytics: Utilize data analytics to track trends and provide insights to senior management.
Profile / Your qualification / Your personality
- Preferred qualifications in Investment Management and/or Financial Planning.
- Minimum of 10 years of experience in the UK Financial Services industry, with a focus on supervisory, sales, and relationship management.
- Proven track record of managing P&L and achieving financial targets.
- Strong understanding of regulatory requirements and risk management practices.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and leadership skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and relevant software.
- Ability to have difficult conversations and deliver messages credibly to senior stakeholders.
- Strong customer service ethics.
- Organized and efficient with excellent time management skills.
- Ability to multi-task, prioritize, and deliver high-quality output.
- Proactive and flexible approach with a solutions-oriented mindset.
- Willingness to travel as required.
