Scope is looking for a Senior Analyst, Director to support its Mutual Funds Team in Frankfurt. The ideal candidate should have relevant work experience as a senior investment analyst or in a comparable role as well as strong analytic capabilities. In this role, the senior analyst also acts as communication point-of-contact between other entities at Scope as well as key customers. Entrepreneurial thinking including the ability to lead own projects and bear responsibility for own rating clients would be a huge positive. Tasks
- Acts as communication point-of-contact between Scope Fund Analysis and customers
- Enhances Scope’s analytical capabilities and methodologies
- Evaluates funds using Scope Fund Analysis' established ratings methodology and summarize the results in rating reports
- Plans and hosts webinars on a variety of investment topics, participate in congresses and events as external speaker and representative of Scope Fund Analysis
- Monitors existing ratings and if necessary, recommends reviews and changes on a timely basis
- Can conduct discussions with clients, investors and asset managers, as well as giving presentations, explanations and briefings at a highly professional level
- Is able and ready to show flexibility in accepting tasks and duties and carrying them out as directed
- Works closely with other Mutual Funds team members, staff and management in Scope Fund Analysis
- Produces high-quality, insightful and forward-looking research and analytical comments on a timely basis
- Informs colleagues in new topics and passes on knowledge within the team
Profile / Your qualification / Your personality
- At least 8 years of experience in the financial industry, that reflects deep analytical skills with a solid understanding of Mutual Funds
- Bachelor or master degree in finance, banking, economics, statistics, mathematics or equivalent qualification
- Extensive knowledge of financial markets and asset classes, especially equities, fixed-income and multi-asset
- Willingness to take responsibility with an entrepreneurial attitude
- Independent thinker with strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Collaborative, self-starter, versatile, inquisitive and detail-oriented personality
- Team player with excellent interpersonal skills
- Ability to meet deadlines and motivate others to do the same
- Strong MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) computer skills
- Excellent written and oral German language skills at least very good oral and written English language skills
- CIIA, CFA or similar is a plus
