The Director I Finance Project Management is responsible for driving change across Finance & Accounting and will lead finance transformation programs for the Group with an initial focus for Post-Trading. The Director I Finance Project Management leads the financial & regulatory reporting project initiatives of the organization and has oversight over process improvements re FinOps. The Director I Finance Project Management has a direct reporting line to the Head of Financial Accounting & Controlling of Deutsche Börse Group.
Tasks
- Lead and/or support Financial Accounting & Controlling projects across the Group (e.g. SAP migrations, process E2E redesign of SSC, regulatory reporting landscape, BCBS 239, master data governance, intercompany topics)
- Maintain Compliance with financial and regulatory requirements while staying up to date with industry changes
- Drive change by developing and implementing best practices in the field of effective governance, oversight and controls
- Work closely with the other CFO functions at group level
- Base of operations is the triangle Eschborn, Luxembourg and Prague
Profile / Your qualification / Your personality
- University degree, e.g. in economics, business administration, mathematics, physics and/or a comparable professional qualification or training
- Professional experience in the financial industry in similar functions for 10 to 15 years (preferrable accountancy qualification with relevant experience in a financial officer role)
- Knowledge of relevant laws and regulations as well as best practices on industry standards
- Experience in data governance topics will be a plus
- Highly motivated, pro-active with sense of ownership, self-managed, high work ethics, goal-oriented approach coupled with analytical skills. Work under pressure with high degree of reliability and sense of urgency and execution
- Innovative and change agent
- Leveraging diversity and ability to lead without authority and work well with international teams based in different locations
- Ability to work in a matrix environment
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to explain complex topics in a structured way and present them in accordance with different target audiences, such as senior management, control functions and regulators
- Proficiency in written and spoken English; German and French language skills will be a plus
