The Credit Portfolio Steering department monitors the development of the overall loan portfolio of EBOe, Holding and the Group with a specific focus on corporate clients. Through active steering, it ensures the operative implementation of the Group credit risk strategies. To perform this mission, the department constantly develops and improves its credit risk data infrastructure (retail and corporate data environment, Early Warning, non-performing loan strategy framework). With the implementation of a dedicated data infrastructure to address the requirements of the EBA guideline on loan origination and monitoring, we have an extensive set of data available which we can leverage to improve our portfolio analysis and steering.

Tasks

  • Coordination of all IT topics related to our DataMarts with Erste Digital and other data users
  • As our SPOC, be part of the Crisp Agile Team as one of the stakeholders for the coordination and processing of requirements, sprints, prioritization …
  • Preparation of the analytical data framework for internal, regulatory and management needs
  • Further buildup of our reporting data visualization (e.g. in Tableau, Power BI), with the goal to be used group-wide
  • Continuous improvement of our portfolio steering function

Profile / Your qualification / Your personality

  • Logical thinker who thrives on solving complex problems
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to identify patterns, trends, and errors in data to support decision-making processes
  • Proficiency in SQL and SAS to query, manipulate, and analyze data from relational databases
  • Good knowledge of Excel, including pivot tables, macros, and VBA scripting for data manipulation, visualization, and reporting
  • We would favor someone with a background in data science, IT, mathematics, or similar and a strong interest and preferably experience in banking and credit risk
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather requirements and ensure data accuracy and integrity
  • Fluent in English and German
