The Role:
Blue Owl is seeking an Associate or Senior Associate to join the Credit Executive Office, a strategically-focused team that works alongside senior leadership of Blue Owl’s global $135bn credit business. The team works closely with the Head of Credit and Credit Portfolio Managers in leading special projects, executing on strategic initiatives, and managing day-to-day operations of the credit investment platform.
Reporting into the COO of Credit, this individual will be responsible for helping to initiate, manage, and execute on a wide range of projects. This role will collaborate with stakeholders across the business to execute on these responsibilities.
We are seeking a highly organized, strong communicator with financial services experience – background in leveraged finance is strongly preferred.
Tasks
- Lead ad hoc initiatives that aid senior leadership in evaluating and implementing strategic growth priorities. These deliverables may range from topical technical analyses to integration projects across business lines to involvement in human capital management
- Provide the credit business voice and perspective to marketing-related deliverables including white papers, conference/investor meeting materials, social posts, and equivalent deliverables
- Liaise between the broader organization (marketing & investor relations, accounting and finance, operations, etc.) and senior leadership to assist in the day-to-day management of the business
- Spearhead regular deliverables, which may include investment team-related board and earnings materials, analyses, and other investment-related statistics and collateral
- Assist in organizing and operating meetings, including preparation of agendas and materials
Profile / Your qualification / Your personality
- 3 to 5 years of experience in financial services, preferably with a background leveraged finance
- Individual must operate with a high degree of discretion and execute good judgement
- Highly organized individual who is adept at multi-tasking and maintaining attention to detail
- Outstanding written and verbal communication skills with the ability to interact directly with senior leadership; must be able to distill complex information concisely
- Strong interpersonal skills with ability to build and maintain relationships - commitment to teamwork and resourcefulness with a consensus-driven approach to problem solving
- Proactive individual who is focused on anticipating and front-running impending questions and needs of the business
- Proficient across Microsoft Office product suite

The base annual salary range for this New York City-based position will be $155,000 - $175,000. Actual salaries may vary based on factors, such as skill, experience, and qualification for the role. Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus, based on factors such as individual and team performance.
