To support our committed Investment-Team in Munich we are searching for a Associate / Senior Associate Investments - Buyout (m|w|d)

Tasks

As a member of the private equity team at Golding, you will help find and invest with the best in class small and mid-cap private equity buyout and growth funds as well as co-investments in Europe and North America, thereby building high-quality portfolios for our investors. Along with Private Equity, you will also have the opportunity to work with one additional asset class at Golding, to help broaden your investment horizons.

What will you do:

  • Working on all aspects of the transaction process, from helping with GP coverage through to screening and execution of investments, across both Primary Fund commitments and Co-Investments
  • Updating Market maps and building relationships with high performing existing and prospective GPs in Europe and North America
  • Screening opportunities and introducing / presenting suitable deals to the team
  • Supporting the team in performing detailed due diligence, including attending due diligence meetings and developing and analysing financial models for potential investments
  • Support with the preparation of investment papers
  • Supporting the team in portfolio management activities including discussions with GPs and companies, attendance at AGMs, tracking performance and preparing internal reports as required
  • Play an active role and support the senior team on various fundraising, investor meeting and other strategic projects

Profile / Your qualification / Your personality

Your qualifications:

  • Strong academic credentials with a degree in business, finance, economics or equivalent
  • 1-4 years of relevant experience, ideally private equity fund investments and/or co-investments or in other roles such as investment banking and direct private equity investments with proven project management skills
  • Investor mindset with strong analytical capabilities, including LBO model expertise
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills in English mandatory. Fluency in German preferred but not necessary
  • Munich-based candidates preferred but remote work possible for the right candidate
