Team Overview:  The objective of LaSalle’s European Research & Strategy team is to build a deep understanding of what drives European real estate performance and apply it to drive investment decisions that achieve LaSalle’s clients’ objectives. We seek to go beyond conventional research approaches to create market knowledge and communicate strategy, always with an investor mindset. This role directly supports these objectives by contributing and communicating our investment strategy to internal and external stakeholders through written commentary and presentations. LaSalle’s European Research & Strategy team consists of 8 people working in a collaborative team structure across London and Munich. The team is also part of a wider global research team in North America and Asia-Pacific, which provides the opportunity to collaborate on global projects. The role is based in our Munich office which fosters a collaborative and dynamic team culture where analysts are encouraged to contribute ideas, develop their expertise and grow professionally within LaSalle’s supportive global network.

Tasks

The primary focus of the role will be to create and update real estate market research and intelligence, with wide exposure across property types and geographies in Europe. Interest in understanding local commercial real estate markets and a practical problem-solving approach are crucial. Data extraction, management and preparation are all central to this, and so embracing a modern approach to data manipulation, the successful candidate will be adept at innovating through technology. The role also involves presentations and informal communications in German and English with investor clients and market participants. The role offers opportunity to learn from senior sector and market research specialists and potential to grow beyond current responsibilities, as well as direct exposure and close collaboration with the firm’s European fund management, transactions, and asset management teams.
