Manages daily activities for supporting senior bankers in executing corporate finance, M&A and financing transactions across various sectors within the DACH region and cross- border. Applies extensive, in-depth knowledge, skills, and practices to perform complex assignments.
Tasks
Assist with origination and execution of transactions for target clients across relevant products, e.g. Advisory, Debt and Equity Capital Markets
Assist in the management of the transaction, maintaining regular contact with client, specialist advisors, other inhouse departments and ad hoc contacts as required. Ensure requisite internal approvals are secured.
- Assist in new business presentations and meetings, and other such duties
- Work with others to develop pitch books and related client materials
- Gathering public information through numerous sources
- Develop and operate financial models and related tools required to execute transactions.
- Process transaction to the documentation and funding stage
Profile / Your qualification / Your personality
Must have
- University Education or equivalent
- Previous M&A advisory experience (Investment Banking / Accountants)
- Demonstrable Investment Banking transaction experience and a comprehensive understanding of the valuation approaches typically used
- Solid understanding of capital markets and spreadsheet modelling
- Quantitative and qualitative analytical skills; strong knowledge of corporate finance and accounting
- Strong written and oral communication, as well as excellent interpersonal skills with ability to maintain relationships at all levels of organization
- Fluent in both English and German
- Highly motivated individual with demonstrated ability to manage conflicting priorities and requests.
- Good lateral thinker, imaginative, creative and proactive
- Ability to source, analyze and apply relevant information
- Rigorous work ethic
- Works well under pressure
- Strong analytical skills
- Strong verbal and written communication skills including proficiency in English
- Advanced computer skills: Excel, Word, PowerPoint
- Some information source experience: Bloomberg, Reuters, Thomson Financial
Nice to have
- Additional European language skills
- CFA Level 1, 2 or 3
- Experience of marketing and executing advisory and financing transactions.
