As a future Alternatives Institutional Sales & Global Consultant Relations Manager, you will report to the Head of UK & Ireland Client Group, Alts, and you will be part of AXA IM Alts.

Responsible for building and growing relationships with leading consulting firms and institutional clients in the UK. Contribute to Business development growth strategy for AXA IM Alts in the UK. The scope of expertise marketed in the UK covers Private Debt and Alternative Credit, Real Estate, Infrastructure and Private Equity.

Tasks

  • Develop and execute a proactive relationship strategy across the hierarchy of stakeholders with consultant firms and institutional clients, especially focused on alternatives.
  • Profile our alternatives investment capabilities, research depth and expertise across different asset classes, working closely with our investment teams and senior management.
  • Contribute to capital raising for AXA IM, Alts in the UK
  • Maintain a thorough understanding of market trends by establishing an active network of contacts.
  • Support strategic initiatives in line with broader Alts Client Group business objectives, taking ownership of planning where appropriate. For example, new product initiatives, LTAF or client segment propositions.
  • Reporting – activity (logged on Salesforce), ratings, monthly/quarterly reports in conjunction with the Alts Client Group reporting requirements.

Profile / Your qualification / Your personality

  • Degree and relevant professional qualifications
  • CAIA and or CFA is desirable but is not essential
  • Industry experience in a consultant relation and/or institutional sales role
  • Experience within an asset management or an investment consulting firm is essential
  • Ideal applicants will have good knowledge of alternatives strategies
  • Established relationships partnering with a broad range of consultants and UK & Ireland institutional clients with private market strategies (e.g. Real Estate, Private Credit, Infrastructure and Private Equity)
  • Proven ability to build and maintain relationships with consulting firms and institutional clients across multiple locations, people and products
  • A strong business development mind-set with drive to work collaboratively to meet targets.
  • Ability to create value within our business model and promote key initiatives.
  • Demonstrate knowledge of multiple asset classes and drive to expand knowledge base.
  • Ideally multi-asset and alternatives exposure or the desire to expand on current asset class knowledge.
  • Understanding of key challenges facing institutional clients Pensions: DB and DC, Insurance, Endowments & Foundations and Family Offices.
  • Alternatives product knowledge.
  • Proactive and flexible team player who enjoys working in a dynamic environment

  • Strong written, verbal and presentation skills
  • Excellent interpersonal skills
