The role of an Account Manager maintains high-quality client documentation, including identification and account opening forms. In addition, a key responsibility of the Account Manager is supporting the Relationship Manager in investment discussions, participating in client calls and meetings, and documenting client instructions. It emphasizes keeping client data up-to-date to facilitate informed investment decisions and providing information through presentations and investment proposals. Collaboration with teams such as Compliance, Risk Management and Investment Specialists is crucial for developing optimal solutions for our clients. The Account Manager takes ownership of the investment topics as well as retaining the core responsibilities of the Assistant Relationship Manager role.
Tasks
- Ensures that accurate and high-quality client relationship documentation formalities are met and maintained to a high standard at all times including client identification documentation (CDB), account opening forms and other relevant legal forms
- Actively ensures that operational account management is undertaken professionally, with all tasks/system alerts cleared directly where possible or via Relationship Manager
- Supports the Relationship Manager in leading a pro-active investment dialogue with clients; participates in client calls and meetings
- Interacts with clients in an independent and professional manner in all aspects of account management, and maintains records of client instructions
- Maintains client key data in liaison with the Relationship Manager to ensure data sets are correct and always up-to-date
- Provides clients and Relationship Manager with information and data in verbal and/or written form as needed/requested; compiles presentations, drafts investment proposals and supports in marketing activities
- Actively helps managing risk (support first line of defense), i.e. in client documentation, by raising concerns, following up on issues independently and by ensuring adherence to compliance and legal guidelines, internal rules, regulations & policies
- Liaises with other Relationship Management-Teams, Compliance, Risk Management, Investment Specialists, Treasury & Trading, Operations & IT to find adequate client solutions.
Profile / Your qualification / Your personality
- Commercial apprenticeship and job-related higher degree (e.g. Bachelor, CFA/AZEK/CAIA) or plans to complete such a degree
- 4 - 5 years of working experience as an Assistant Relationship Manager in a Bank
- Proven track record in servicing banking clients with complex needs (onboarding of new clients, maintaining and extending current relationships)
- Several years of experience in compliance topics and awareness of current regulations and KYC related needs
- Solid knowledge of investment categories and great interest in the market developments
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office for working on client presentations and for performing analyses in spreadsheets
- Strong organizational skills
- Fluency in German and English (oral and written) is a must
- Service oriented, discreet and responsible
- Friendly, open personality, well-presented and professional appearance
- Able to work independently, well organized, swift and accurate even when under pressure
