Front Risk Management (FRM) is part of the 1st Line of Defence (1LoD) function within the division Client Strategy & Experience.
We are looking for a new Head FRM Intermediaries, who manages the FRM Advisory Intermediaries team and directly leads as Team Head the FRM Intermediaries Risk & Control Management team. The Head FRM Intermediaries reports directly to the Head FRM.
The FRM Advisory Intermediaries’ team acts as the Front Management’s 1st point of contact for risk related topics and is market-wise allocated. They focus on providing transparency to Front Management through the provision of reports and support them in defining risk mitigating measures.
The FRM Risk & Control Framework Intermediaries act as SMEs who are driving/participating in projects, reviews and initiatives as risk expert for the Intermediaries & Family Office business. They provide trainings and are executing 1LoD controls and risk-related recurring tasks.
As Head FRM Intermediaries you will drive and further develop the global Intermediaries 1LoD risk management framework to enable and foster the Intermediaries and Family Office strategy in a risk aware and risk effective manner. Thereby you work in close cooperation with Intermediaries Business, Legal and Compliance and you are supported by the global FRM framework & governance and other FRM teams.
In addition, you and your teams actively contribute to the global harmonisation project that has the purpose to harmonize and increase 1LoD risk management effectiveness / efficiency across the Bank.
Aufgaben
- Managing two teams, one directly/one via team head (in total 10-11 FTEs) and support the team members in their day-to-day work and achievement of their objectives
- Manage performance and conduct of team members, fostering an environment and culture of collaboration and communication across all FRM teams
- Drive and enhance the global Intermediaries 1LoD risk management framework
- Lead and participate in projects and initiatives aiming at the improvement of Intermediaries business/Front Office processes
- Support in the elaboration and assessment of market strategies and business cases to ensure risk management angle is an integral part from the beginning
- Collaborate with the Front office, advising and mitigating various risk elements, processes and procedures related to Intermediaries topics
- Ensure that the teams act as interface for all risk-related topics between the Front and the 2nd and 3rd Line of Defense
- Co-lead of the Regional Risk Committee and participate in risk related committees
Profil / Ihre Qualifikation / Ihre Persönlichkeit:
- Experience and knowledge of daily business operations in the Intermediaries area
- University degree or equivalent (preferably in economics, law, business administration or any other related field)
- At least 8 years of professional experience in Risk Management, Legal, Compliance or Audit preferably with leadership experience
- Strong people and leadership skills with the ability to set and prioritise objectives and tasks
- Project management experience in the financial services industry
- Capable of working under pressure in a fast-paced, constantly evolving environment
- Excellent analytical, problem solving and interpersonal skills
- Fluent in English; other languages (e.g. German, French or Spanish) are a plus
- Very good knowledge of MS Office
