About the department
The Requests for Proposals (RFP’s) department co-ordinate and respond to client and consultant information requests. Proactively gather and distribute investment information, working closely with the Global Investment Specialists. Support sales and existing client business within abrdn’s Investments, whilst ensuring compliance with regulatory guidelines at all times. Co-ordinate and respond to internal and external client and consultant information requests and participate in various ad-hoc projects.
Aufgaben
As the RFP Specialist you will get the opportunity to be responsible for the delivery of RFPs, DDQs and RFIs to all client types and channels within the EMEA region. These will cover the full suite of asset classes and investment products offered. The RFP Specialist will be part of a highly specialised team and will work closely with Global Investment Specialists / Product Specialists.
You will get to build and develop positive working relationships with a range of departments and individuals throughout the company. You will be responsible for the co-ordination and delivery of new business proposals, consultant questionnaires and tenders for existing clients.
Key Responsibilities
- Production of comprehensive & compelling tender documents, within set deadlines
- Create, maintain and enhance productive working relationships within the organisation (i.e., Legal, Client Directors, Client Reporting, Performance Measurement Team, Portfolio Managers, Investment Specialists, Product Specialists, Business Development Managers)
- Participate in and assist with ongoing team projects & contribute to the development of processes & services or the improvement of standards & efficiency
- Has a good knowledge of the investment management business and services
- Deal with ad-hoc queries and requests for information efficiently and effectively
- Observe risk & compliance framework and associated processes; secure necessary sign off
Profil / Ihre Qualifikation / Ihre Persönlichkeit:
- Experience in writing tenders / RFPs
- Familiarity with public tender process and procedure is desirable
- Market/product knowledge desirable (or a general interest in the financial industry)
- High standard of numeracy, accuracy and attention to detail
- Ability to access information from a variety of information sources and software
