Erste Asset Management coordinates and is responsible for all asset management activities of Erste Group and is in charge of assets amounting to more than EUR 78 billion. More than 400 employees develop and manage investment solutions for our investors in 7 different countries. We launched the first environmental fund in Austria 20 years ago - at a time when the topic was still a niche. Today, we manage more than EUR 16 billion in sustainability (as of 31.10.2023) and consider sustainability as a core business activity.

Aufgaben

Are you a passionate individual with a keen interest in Financial Markets looking to join Erste Asset Management's Fixed Income Team?

As part of the Investment Division, the Fixed Income department manages all investments and fund solutions for government and corporate bonds within developed and emerging markets. In cooperation with the Responsible Investments department Fixed Income also offers sustainably managed products.

As a Fund Manager - Fixed Income Credits, you will handle substantive investment responsibilities and enhance the integration of environmental, social, and governance (ESG) principles into our investment strategy. You will analyze fixed income markets and issuers as a part of an international team and collaborate with colleagues across the organization.

• develop and execute investment strategies within the guidelines of the investment process
• manage and monitor fund positions and risk analytics compared to benchmarks and targets
• contribute to the analysis of the eminent world of fixed income markets and issuers
• participate in and enhance the investment process, models, and tools
• support SRI colleagues in the issuer engagement policy
• trade fixed income and foreign exchange instruments
• prepare and update reports for pitch documents and other internal and external publications
• work on assigned projects
• present your own fund/performance and our ESG approach in front of customers and big audiences

Profil / Ihre Qualifikation / Ihre Persönlichkeit:

requirements

• 3 to 5 years of relevant experience in asset management
• enthusiastic about capital markets and fixed income
• thinking outside the box coupled with street smartness and wondering beginner’s mind-set
• high analytical capability and strong attention to detail
• good Microsoft Office skills
• fluent in German and English (German minimum B1, aiming to reach C1 within two years)

beneficial, but optional

• university degree with a focus in economics, business administration, business law, accounting, finance or mathematics, physics or life sciences
• understanding of ESG principles and a mindset that aligns with these principles. ready to complete training programs like CEFA, CFA or ESG Investing
• expertise in digital tools and applications (e.g. VBA, R, Python)
• finance systems experience such as Bloomberg
• strong presentation and communication skills
