Robeco has over 25 years of experience in thematic investing and currently manages more than EUR 15 billion across 13 thematic strategies. Our team of around 40 investment professionals – including portfolio managers, analysts, client portfolio managers, and investment specialists – is based in Zurich and Rotterdam. We actively manage thematic equity funds and mandates for a global client base spanning Asia, the Middle East, Europe, and the Americas.
As a Thematic Client Portfolio Manager (CPM), you will act as a key link between Robeco’s investment teams and global Sales organization. Your mission is to help raise and retain assets in our thematic strategies by delivering compelling insights and client engagement. You will develop deep knowledge of our investment strategies, portfolio holdings, and market trends to provide clear, impactful updates to clients and prospects worldwide
Tasks
- Build and maintain in-depth knowledge of Robeco’s thematic strategies through close collaboration with portfolio managers.
- Represent thematic strategies in client meetings (including prospects), at client events or internal forums.
- Prepare high-quality client presentations and marketing materials.
- Respond to client and Sales queries, and review RFPs and DDQs.
- Support investment teams in client meeting preparation and follow-up.
- Manage regular internal and external reporting tasks.
- Contribute to internal projects and business development initiatives.
Profile / Your qualification / Your personality
- Minimum 7 years of relevant experience, including direct client interaction in a product expert role.
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Finance, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Solid understanding of asset management and equity fund products.
- Affinity for use of AI and seeking efficiency improvements.
- Self-starter with strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple priorities under pressure.
- Proactive, flexible team player with a collaborative global mindset.
- Strong analytical skills and attention to detail, combined with pragmatic problem-solving.
- Client-focused and results-driven, with excellent time management.
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
Exceptional communication skills in English and at least one additional European language (French, Italian, or Spanish preferred).
