Tasks

As a Senior Business Analyst (>5  years) in our ESG Technology team you will liaise with key ESG business stakeholders(ESG Research, Portfolio Management, Traders, Client Facing and Product Strategy) and work with analytics & other technology teams to build ESG Solutions to integrate ESG factors in the overall investment process. In this role you will be responsible for providing support business users globally and working with development team based in UK and Offshore in building ESG technology platform, which consist of 4 main pillars data, research, reporting and distribution/integration of ESG data. You will be integral part of technology team to help evolve our ESG platform, develop new capabilities, and troubleshoot problems in real time.

  • Work with business users to streamline ESG integration, capture new business requirements and identify areas of efficiency improvements.
  • Collaborate closely with internal development teams and external data vendors to convert requests into technical specs, integrations and deliveries.
  • 1st level support on business queries - initial analysis and diagnosis of issues
  • Perform testing including functional, regression, user acceptance, integration and performance to verify that the client’s needs are met.
  • Resolve tactical emergencies employing your Excel and SQL skills
  • Produce accurate and meaningful data to Regulatory Ops team under time pressure
  • Conduct demos, training and maintaining of technical and business knowledgebase
  • Prepare, engage and distribute weekly, monthly and quarterly updates to business and tech management
  • Presentation of results to business / functional leads

Profile / Your qualification / Your personality

Essential Education and Experience

  • >5 years’ experience in financial technology project management and business analysis, leading technology related efforts is essential for this role
  • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent in Computer Science, Mathematics, Business / Finance or technical fields
  • Extensive knowledge of ESG domain (data and regulations) and experience of ESG methodologies and Vendors
  • Understanding of Financial products and trading processes is crucial
  • Previous experience working in an agile environment.

Technologies required

  • SQL and databases (Oracle, Snowflake)
  • Excellent Excel
  • Any BI reporting experience would be plus.
  • Scripting (Python) or programming experience as nice to have.

  • Very Analytical, attention to details and strong capability to translate business requirements into development specifications. Self-starter, hard worker
