This is a great job for someone who has experience in a consultant relations or institutional business development.

Tasks

We are seeking a strategic, client centric Head of Global Consultant Relations to join our Institutional Distribution team. You will report directly to the Head of EMEA Institutional and be part of the Global Distribution team that spans UK, Europe, North America, and Asia Pacific. You will lead a team of consultant relations directors, working collaboratively with business development and client relationship directors within the EMEA Distribution team - and leverage the broader resources of Aviva Investors including Investments, Sustainable Investing, RFP and Market Intelligence - to develop strategic partnerships with consultants. Within this role the successful candidate will need to proactively develop new relationships and deepen existing relationships with global consultants to achieve commercial objectives. You will strategically monitor progress with consultants and work collaboratively with the global institutional business development and client relations teams to commercialise our buy ratings, ensure growth in pipeline and conversion ratios. The role itself allows you to be the voice of our clients at Aviva Investors and provide market feedback to colleagues that will contribute to the continual enhancement of our products and our business.

Profile / Your qualification / Your personality

  • Experience of successfully defining and delivering a global consultant relations strategy
  • Excellent practical knowledge and understanding of regulatory requirements with a consistent record of practical compliance.
  • A strong network of established relationships with consultants with a track record of successful engagement.
  • An astute manager who can manage, motivate, and develop staff
  • Relevant post graduate qualifications e.g. CFA, CAIA, Masters in Finance, MBA.

That awaits you

  • Generous pension scheme - Aviva will contribute up to 14%, depending on what you put in

  • Aviva Matching Share Plan and Save As You Earn scheme
  • 21 volunteering hours per year

In this role you’ll be ‘Certified’ under the Financial Conduct Authority / Prudential Regulation Authority’s Senior Managers and Certification Regime (SMCR). This means that we’ll need to complete some regulatory background checks on you before you take up your role and we’ll need to ask you some questions on an annual basis to make sure you remain ‘fit and proper’ and competent to carry out your role. We’ll provide training on what holding a SMCR role means when you join us and annually thereafter.
